Safari Lake Geneva is dedicated to the protection and propagation of vanishing wildlife and heritage breeds. It is committed to supporting and securing a future for wildlife in the wild, as well as to promoting awareness of conservation issues and animals in general through engaging, educational, and entertaining experiences.
Seasonal Safari Rangers are responsible for the care and safety of all animals and visitors on the reserve. Primary duties include overseeing animals and their habitats, ensuring guests and animals are safe and following Safari rules while enjoying their experience, maintaining traffic flow by moving animals as needed, cleaning animal enclosures and maintaining a sanitary environment, providing high quality animal care through enrichment, training, and diet construction. These are full-time, seasonal positions lasting from the end of April until November 1, 2022.

Education and Pre-requisites

Qualified candidates must have a degree in zoology, biology, or another related field, or have equivalent experience. They must be able to follow instructions, handle money, and maintain a calm and friendly demeanor. Previous zoo, safari, or conservation facility experience is strongly preferred. Must be able to work in a variety of conditions and lift 50 pounds. Applicants should have an outgoing personality, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and an interest in working at one of Walworth County’s top attractions.

• Comfortable working in all weather conditions

Compensation and benefits
