Description
ZooWorld Zoological Park is a five-acre facility located just minutes from the beautiful white sandy beaches of Florida’s emerald coast.
Seeking highly motivated and innovative individuals to fill a full-time, permanent Zoo Keeper positions to include, commissary, reptiles and animal nursery.
This position will care for a variety of exotic animals in a fast paced educationally focused environment. As part of the ZooWorld team, you will work a rotating schedule that includes some weekends and holidays, and perform highly physical tasks, typical of a zookeeping position, on a daily basis.
Education and Pre-requisites
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Bachelors degree or higher with at least 1 internship or
High school graduate with at least 2 years paid exotic experience.
Minimum one year experience working with reptiles preferred
Good interpersonal and communications skills.
Must be able to interact with guests in a courteous and professional manner.
Must be able to learn and integrate information, knowledge, and direction quickly.
Must be reliable and show initiative.
Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
Working experience at an animal care facility.
Experience handling, feeding and caring for reptiles.
Experience with public presentation.
