Description
We are looking for someone to join our team working with our smaller animal residents such as coatimundi, bobcats, kinkajous, ring-tailed lemurs, macaws and more!
With the guidance and under supervision of the Executive Director, the Animal Care Associate will execute day to day functions regarding animals, feeding, water haul, food haul, diet and nutrition, driving around property with supplies, perform all duties in a safe manner while following company protocol, custodial, sustainability, and long-term equipment care. Animal Care staff also assist with grounds-keeping and sorting through/storing bi-weekly produce donations. Perform other related job duties as assigned.
Education and Pre-requisites
Minimum Job Requirements:
1-2 years of animal care exp, Ranch Hand experience or in related field preferred
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Required/Other Qualifications:
Possess a valid driver’s license and have a satisfactory driving record
Lives locally
Reliable source of transportation to and from work
Ability to liaise with other departments to achieve a common goal
Able to lift 75lbs or more
Compensation and benefits
Location: (25 min. outside) Boyd, Texas
Status: Exempt Full-Time – Entry- Mid Level
Salary: Annual- Starting at $30,000
Direct Supervisor: Executive Director
Free housing may or may not be an option depending on what is available at the time.
