Description
The Nutrition Technician position functions as a member of the animal nutrition and veterinary care team with a primary responsibility for animal diet preparation and delivery throughout the zoo, supply and enrichment item delivery, and stock keeping. This position also serves as a resource to Animal Keepers, operates food processing and distribution equipment, and assists in the overall operations of the Animal Nutrition Center (ANC), including maintaining the facility and its equipment as well as communications and records duties.
Education and Pre-requisites
Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, biology or animal science preferred. Three years experience with ordering, delivery, logistics, warehouse, customer service and food preparation (preferably in an animal care or zoo environment).
Compensation and benefits
Entry rate: $20.27; 6 months; $21.53; 18 months: $22.89; 30 months: $24.33; 42 months: $25.85/hour; benefits are prorated for this part-time position.
