Description
Seasonal outreach presenter. part time up to 32 hours per week-non exempt
Responsible for but not limited to: engaging programs for all ages while keeping animal safety and public safety at the forefront. Also includes all aspects of husbandry incl diet prep, cleaning and maintaining enclosures, maintaining behaviors using positive conditioning techniques, observing and recording health and behavioral issues, administering meds,, working with and overseeing volunteers.
Education and Pre-requisites
education and prerequisites:
a degree in life sci professional experience handling, keeping and presenting non domestic animals,
ability to lift 50 lbs
good driving record
ability to think outside the box and problem solve in a fast paced environment. Adhere to and implement safety protocols. leadership skills a must.
ability to work a variable schedule including nights, weekends and holidays. maintenance skills required. working knowledge of positive conditioning required.
Compensation and benefits
pay: starts at 12/hr
