Description
ALABAMA SAFARI PARK, a 350-acre animal preserve located just outside of Montgomery, is scheduled to open for public attendance in 2016 and has an opening for an experienced curator/animal manager. This person should have extensive hands-on, practical knowledge of hoofed stock, whether exotic or domestic, along with a very strong work ethic. This position requires attention to detail through the daily observations of herds and individual animals, record-keeping skills, and ability to manage staff.
Education and Pre-requisites
Experience with capture, handling, feeding and basic medical care of hoofed stock an asset. Farm equipment experience will be required and will be taught as needed. Self-motivating and able to work with minimum oversight required. Non-smoking work place.
Compensation and benefits
Salary negotiable and commensurate with experience. We offer 401(k), paid sick, vacation and health insurance.
