Description
Applications are being accepted for a full-time Animal Care Supervisor in the Australian Adventure and Indiana Family Farm. This section includes kangaroos, Tasmanian devils, dingoes, Aldabra tortoises, domestic hoofstock, Australian and domestic birds, grey short-tailed opossums, and Australian and native reptile and amphibians.
Responsibilities: The Animal Care Supervisor is a working leadership position that provides direct supervision of employees, coordination of daily operations, contribution to positive guest experiences, and performance of zoo keeper duties as required. This position oversees the husbandry of all species located in the Australian Adventure and Indiana Family Farm to ensure appropriate animal wellbeing. Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences or a related field and three years of experience in a zoological setting are required. Demonstrated ability in operant conditioning is preferred.
