Description
Oversee the daily operation of the Zoo. Perform routine animal husbandry duties for living collection areas as required. Document and apply standard operating guidelines for the zoological management of the living collection of the Zoo. Manage and oversee animal care staff. Collaborate with assigned staff to ensure that annual safety drills and training are performed. Routinely assist in the inspection of exhibits for containment integrity. As well as animal safety and welfare. Working with the Animal Health and Welfare Committee to ensure that the animal training and enrichment programs are applied.
Education and Pre-requisites
Associates degree in Zoology, Biology, or closely related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred; seven years of created experience or equivalent will be considered. Experience in an AZA accredited facility preferred.
Three years of supervisory experience required.
Three years of relevant experience or equivalent training in the carpentry or constriction field, mainly pertaining to exhibit building and repair.
Knowledge of standard office practices, techniques, and equipment.
Must obtain a valid driver’s license and CDL physical card.

Full-Time (40 hours)
Salary Range $44,447-$48,111
