Description
The Gulf Breeze Zoo is a 80-acre facility located in the beautiful Florida panhandle. This ZAA-Accredited facility is home to a diverse collection of animals, with the collection consisting of Nile and pygmy hippos, white and Indian rhinos, giraffe, other various hoofed stock species, gorillas, orangutans, a myriad of smaller primates, large cats, bears, a petting area, and a wide assortment of birds and reptiles.
Gulf Breeze Zoo is rapidly growing and in search of a motivated part-time registrar.
Currently Seeking:
The Gulf Breeze Zoo encourages you to apply if you are a self-motivated and hardworking individual who shares a passion for animal care. We are expanding our current animal care team with the addition of a registrar. This is new position will maintain animal records with the use of Animal Care Software for Gulf Breeze Zoo and the use of ZIMS as well. This position is currently part-time, but we are looking to grow it full time very shortly.
• Animal record keeping with Animal Care Software and/or ZIMS
• Data collection and management
• Updating all past records to be current on Animal Care Software
• Aid in paperwork associated with animal acquisitions and dispositions
Education and Pre-requisites
Applicants must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft word and excel. Knowledge of Animal Care Software and ZIMS is beneficial, but not required. Applicants must possess a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and excellent communication skills. Ability to follow a strict personal dress code and maintain a valid driver’s license is required
